Month 4 with Dean- 4th of July and a busy month for sure

Lawn mower rides was one of my favorite things growing up. We were given some noise cancelling headphones for Dean from our old bishop in Rexburg (Brad and Kerri Bailey) Dean enjoyed a few rounds on the lawn mower with Granny getting things ready for the Garrett family reunion!

Mikal took Dean on a little ride down the driveway on the Harley. Dean never has a reaction to anything-- haha

Family reunion time!
We got to meet everyone in the family this month. We were so busy playing on the first of July, that Dean slept through the whole night! I had to wake him up to feed him and empty out my milk supply, buutttt it was a trick. He never slept through the night the rest of July. We enjoyed much of our days outside during the family reunion. We went to the Basin City Parade and Dean fell asleep watching it. We did our own little firework show at the house, but I was not able to watch it very long because Dean was tired and needed to go to bed. Austin and Rick brought their repelling gear and a bunch of the cousins repelled off the silo; myself included! It was pretty great! We went to the river and kayaked and tubed. We had a great time at the Garrett Family reunion with everyone! Mikal ended up being sick during most of all the festivities and had to miss a couple days of work. He tends to over work himself sometimes and not get enough fluids in himself--

The following weekend my mom needed a break so we (Dean and I) headed to Hood Park and camped for 2 nights. It was a fun little get away and nice to relax. Dean has started to lift his head up pretty good now. He loves to swing on the green swing that mom bought for the grandkids as well.

Aunt Suzanne and Uncle John came to visit and bring Sage to us since we left her in Idaho for the month. They had an enjoyable time on the river and just hanging out in the orchard picking cherries.

I went on a little over night trip with Mom to Grandpa Garrett's house to pick up a couch he was getting rid of. That was an adventure! Dean is a good little traveler. We got to North Bend to eat and when we went to leave again, Dad's little maroon Chevy truck would not start. We tried so hard to get the truck to start again, but could not get the battery cables to go on tight enough. Dad ended up having to come all the way to North Bend and trade us for the farms white pickup. My mom decided it was time for Dean to taste a chicken nugget. 😏

Took Dean swimming for the first time in the pool, and he LOVED it! He laughed and giggled!

He loves sitting in the walker and hanging out. He can't touch the ground yet, but enjoys being in different places in the house.

Dean still loves to pull the little baby hairs on the back of my neck. He holds on to them for dear life! I'm pretty sure I will be bald soon.

Four wheeler rides are some of my saving graces. Sometimes he just does not want to go down for a nap, so I take him on four wheeler rides until he falls asleep.

He tried baby food for the first time and did not like it at all!

He also rolls from side to side pretty good and has started grabbing his toes a lot more and pulling them up to his face. He got a little cold and cough this month and was a little more grumpy than usual.

He is still just as chubby as ever and weighs over 19 pounds now! He also wears 9 month clothing.

Found him like this after playing with his toy!
He still cannot fit in the bumbo. His poor legs are so chubby!
