Month 6- halfway

My baby will be 6 months this month! I cannot believe it.
We took a short trip up to visit Kira and Everett. Everett loves Dean and coos at him every time he sees him. Its just he cutest thing. We visited the Aquarium and Pikes Market. Dean liked looking at all the animals!









 While we were there, Kira gave Dean this little stuffed moose that her boys did not like. On the way back home, Dean was fussing, so we gave him the moose and he ended up falling asleep with one of the legs in his mouth. Silly boy!

We took a long boat ride up to see the white bluffs. I have never been up there and thought that Dean would like to be out on the boat. He has started sucking on his toes as well.



Apple harvest has begun and we got to take some fun pictures with Dean on the apple bins.




Another milestone! September 16--He can roll from his back to his tummy! By the end of September, he was able to roll from back to tummy really well. 

He has also started reaching to go to people. He will reach if he wants to go to you!

We went to visit Everett and Kira again in the hospital. She was needing a break and some familiar faces. Mikal, Dean and I thought it was a good idea to go visit for a day. We had some fun visiting them in the hospital.






We like to take Sage down to the river and Dean usually drives with Mikal. He has watched Mikal shift gears so many times, that he now has figured out the shifter and wants to shift. Silly smart boy!





He has also found a love for the piano. I think it is because he sees/hears his uncles and cousins play on it every day! Every time you walk past the piano with him in your arms, he wants to sit down and play it!





Dean had his 6 month checkup! 
Weight: 22 lb 4 oz (99th percentile)
Height: 28.25 inches (97th percentile)
Got shots as well.

Month 7- Harvest time

Dean started off the month of October sleeping a lot better than the month of September. Instead of 2-3 hour stretches, we got 4-5! He has now started acknowledging his name when you say it.  Mikal bought Dean a cute little red ball cap. It is so cute on him! I also got to put him in his little hunting outfits. I love me some red buffalo plaid!     We met my cousin Carmen and her family at the Middleton Fall Festival. It was fun to take Wesley and enjoy so time outside of the house! Dean played in the corn pit and had a blast feeling the corn and picking it up- we also went again later in the month with Joseph, Melissa, Oliver & Jane. I spent lots of time making/picking grapes to juice. Dean was very impatient at times and other times very patient with me! Dean went on a couple tractor rides in the sprayer with Dad. Birth of Baby Dean

March 24th - Sunday night at 8 pm we headed into Madison Memorial Hospital to start the induction. I was still only dilated a fingertip. They put a small cervidil in me to soften my cervix. It was not comfortable and I was given half an ambien to help with the pain and sleep, but I was not able to sleep at all that night. I tossed and turned all night long and had to get up and go to the bathroom every hour. March 25th- Around 6 am, Monday March 25th, they got me a piece of toast and that was all I could eat until after the baby was born. They took out the cervidil and started me on Pitocin and broke my water. I was exhausted. I was still in pain, but not as bad after getting that cervidil out. Around 10:00 am, they came in a checked me and I was dilated 1 cm. They told me that he probably would not be born until Tuesday, March 26th. My heart dropped. Thankful--Grateful--Blessed🍗

This past couple weeks have been some crazy ones to take in. I have been working on tons of projects in the garage and building a lot for others. Here are a couple of my latest: Thanksgiving week was just around the corner, as was my birthday. On Tuesday we went out to eat at Red Robin so I could get my free burger like I get every year. That is all we did. Nothing special. I did get a phone call from my sister Kira calling to keep little Everett who is 5 months in our prayers. He was have some unusual bruising on his left eye. They had gone to a specialist and was told if it got worse to head to the hospital.  On Thanksgiving day, we went out to Mikal's parents house and had a big dinner.
