December 2020

The final month of the crazy year to 2020.  Dean enjoyed the tree in the house! He kept going over and smelling the tree and touching the lights. He did pretty well at leaving the ornaments on the tree. I have the lights on a timer and every night when they would turn on, he would get so excited and run up to the tree and shout happiness!  We took a Sunday drive and stopped to see the beautiful snow on Badger Mountain. Mikal loves exploring the surrounding areas and especially looking for coyotes. We had a ward drive thru party and we (the Primary presidency) prepared a small bag for the primary kids. It turned out great and Dean even got to see Santa!  Dean points and "ahhhhs" every time we drive around and see Christmas lights.  I was able to find $150.00 round trip tickets to Idaho Falls out of Pasco. We decided that we would go for the new year instead of Christmas. Mikal took on Yakima's area for the month of December. The sales manager took off the month ...

While we were in New York visiting the cousins, Dean found a love for the mega blocks. He learned how to stack them and since then, has started stacking everything! It is so fun to see him learn and be excited about those little moments in his life. He also decided that he was done eating in the high chair. We bought a small folding table and chairs a while back and that is now what we eat on as a family! He is doing very well at feeding himself and keeping most of the food on his plate instead of the ground.  Leaves have been changing and falling onto the ground. We have been raking leaves into piles and running through them! We still spend lots of time outside enjoy playing with Sage. We take our daily walks and Dean has also decided that the jogger is no longer fun and actually "walking" the dog is the best. We borrowed a dinosaur leash backpack from my sister Kira to test out if Dean would do okay with it. He LOVED it! Score!  Mikal noticed one day that there was a r...

The first weekend in October is always general conference. On that particular Sunday morning of general conference, Dean decided to poop in his pants and I stuck my finger in his poop while I was checking it. He then proceeded to go outside and step in dog poop. He came running inside with his push lawn mower that had dog poop all over the wheels, his pant legs and shoes. We noticed he had the poop all over him, so we changed him and he grabbed a pillow off the couch and started pushing it all over the floor. 🙈 This was a morning just full of POOP! To make matters worse, Dean has decided that getting his bum changed is not fun. He has become a fighter.  We took Dean fishing with his own fishing pole for the 1st time. He enjoyed holding the fish and throwing them back in. He loved running around and exploring the most. Mikal found a little snake and Dean did even flinch holding it! Dean and I were finally able to take our trip to New York. I was getting excited to travel agai...
