Month 7- Harvest time


Dean started off the month of October sleeping a lot better than the month of September. Instead of 2-3 hour stretches, we got 4-5! He has now started acknowledging his name when you say it. 
Mikal bought Dean a cute little red ball cap. It is so cute on him!


I also got to put him in his little hunting outfits. I love me some red buffalo plaid!

  
We met my cousin Carmen and her family at the Middleton Fall Festival. It was fun to take Wesley and enjoy so time outside of the house! Dean played in the corn pit and had a blast feeling the corn and picking it up- we also went again later in the month with Joseph, Melissa, Oliver & Jane.





I spent lots of time making/picking grapes to juice. Dean was very impatient at times and other times very patient with me!
Dean went on a couple tractor rides in the sprayer with Dad. He loved it so much it put him to sleep.
Mikal also went fishing a bunch and hunting as well. He ended up shooting a small buck.


Dean is starting to get up on all 4's, but doesn't want to pick up his hands to crawl. He likes to crisscross his legs in front of him so he wouldn't be able to move anyways.
We went to the trunk or treat at the church and dressed Dean up as a plump dinosaur. He enjoyed watching all the kids in their outfits!


Mikal took a picture of Dean's backside while I was getting ready to put him in the bath- and Mikal thinks it is the best picture and shows it to everyone!

Here is a few notes I took for the month:

Oct 4- pooped after 11 days! 

Oct 9- grabbed a star puff from the high chair and was able to put it in his mouth! 

Oct 8- started to like standing up on his feet

Oct 10- found his voice. Likes to scream during meal time in the high chair. 

Oct 12- has a cold and mucus in his throat

Has started wanting to hold your face when you put him to sleep. 

Oct 19- has begun rolling all over the floor in circles, has no desire to crawl, but leans really far forward looking like he will get on his knees and instantly throws his legs underneath him to land on his stomachs

Oct 22- figured out how to use the jumper 


October has been a hard month. Eats every 3 hours at night and wakes up at 4 for like 1 hour. Been feeding him apple juice to help instead of always nursing . Really clingy to mama and wants to be held. Eats really well though! Loves our food more than baby food. Better at pooping but still struggles.

October 31st- got his first big boy car seat

March 24th - Sunday night at 8 pm we headed into Madison Memorial Hospital to start the induction. I was still only dilated a fingertip. They put a small cervidil in me to soften my cervix. It was not comfortable and I was given half an ambien to help with the pain and sleep, but I was not able to sleep at all that night. I tossed and turned all night long and had to get up and go to the bathroom every hour. March 25th- Around 6 am, Monday March 25th, they got me a piece of toast and that was all I could eat until after the baby was born. They took out the cervidil and started me on Pitocin and broke my water. I was exhausted. I was still in pain, but not as bad after getting that cervidil out. Around 10:00 am, they came in a checked me and I was dilated 1 cm. They told me that he probably would not be born until Tuesday, March 26th. My heart dropped. Thankful--Grateful--Blessed🍗

This past couple weeks have been some crazy ones to take in. I have been working on tons of projects in the garage and building a lot for others. Here are a couple of my latest: Thanksgiving week was just around the corner, as was my birthday. On Tuesday we went out to eat at Red Robin so I could get my free burger like I get every year. That is all we did. Nothing special. I did get a phone call from my sister Kira calling to keep little Everett who is 5 months in our prayers. He was have some unusual bruising on his left eye. They had gone to a specialist and was told if it got worse to head to the hospital.  On Thanksgiving day, we went out to Mikal's parents house and had a big dinner. I brought some little penguins because I really like to have one of my little traditions brought to the table.  The day after Thanksgiving, we went out with the Terry family and Josh and Hailey's family as well to get a Christmas tree.
