Hunting adventures!🌄

This past couple weeks, Mikal has been hunting non-stop! He has been out almost every morning and almost every evening. He LOVES hunting. (that is an understatement) He LIVES for hunting season every year. He is like a little boy at Christmas. He goes out and just loves to see all the animals and explore the mountains and desert! He saw so many deer (does) and quite a few bull moose! He even got to see two of them fighting. He thought that was pretty neat! I was able to go out with him a few times and was never able to get a chance to have an open shot on anything. Mikal on the other hand, was able to shoot this guy! He was pretty happy to be able to get him and bring some meat home for us! We love jerky!


Mikal did a lot of hiking and walking during these past couple weeks. I bet he hiked over 100 miles! Mikal loves the mountains so much that we often take drives up there to explore and see new places. We took a drive last Sunday and got to see the pretty fall colors again and take Sage out to enjoy the little snow that we found. She enjoys the snow and loves to eat and play in it!


We definitely have been spoiled with being so close to the mountains! We will be sad when we leave Idaho to go back to Washington where the mountains are a couple of hours away.  I guess I better put up a picture of me that Mikal took to show that I actually was there too!

Mikal also wanted me to go coyote hunting with him a week later and we ended up having a little adventure getting the truck stuck in the sand.. His truck is so heavy so it just sinks in the sand. Good thing he is a very resourceful person and went out and chopped up some sagebrush and had me feed it through as he was backing up to get unstuck. It took us a good 45 minutes, but eventually we got out and he did not slow down the rest of the sandy road. We passed by an elk ranch and saw this pretty bull elk and took some fun sunset pictures as well! 😁

Month 7- Harvest time

Dean started off the month of October sleeping a lot better than the month of September. Instead of 2-3 hour stretches, we got 4-5! He has now started acknowledging his name when you say it.  Mikal bought Dean a cute little red ball cap. It is so cute on him! I also got to put him in his little hunting outfits. I love me some red buffalo plaid!     We met my cousin Carmen and her family at the Middleton Fall Festival. It was fun to take Wesley and enjoy so time outside of the house! Dean played in the corn pit and had a blast feeling the corn and picking it up- we also went again later in the month with Joseph, Melissa, Oliver & Jane. I spent lots of time making/picking grapes to juice. Dean was very impatient at times and other times very patient with me! Dean went on a couple tractor rides in the sprayer with Dad. Birth of Baby Dean

March 24th - Sunday night at 8 pm we headed into Madison Memorial Hospital to start the induction. I was still only dilated a fingertip. They put a small cervidil in me to soften my cervix. It was not comfortable and I was given half an ambien to help with the pain and sleep, but I was not able to sleep at all that night. I tossed and turned all night long and had to get up and go to the bathroom every hour. March 25th- Around 6 am, Monday March 25th, they got me a piece of toast and that was all I could eat until after the baby was born. They took out the cervidil and started me on Pitocin and broke my water. I was exhausted. I was still in pain, but not as bad after getting that cervidil out. Around 10:00 am, they came in a checked me and I was dilated 1 cm. They told me that he probably would not be born until Tuesday, March 26th. My heart dropped. Thankful--Grateful--Blessed🍗

This past couple weeks have been some crazy ones to take in. I have been working on tons of projects in the garage and building a lot for others. Here are a couple of my latest: Thanksgiving week was just around the corner, as was my birthday. On Tuesday we went out to eat at Red Robin so I could get my free burger like I get every year. That is all we did. Nothing special. I did get a phone call from my sister Kira calling to keep little Everett who is 5 months in our prayers. He was have some unusual bruising on his left eye. They had gone to a specialist and was told if it got worse to head to the hospital.  On Thanksgiving day, we went out to Mikal's parents house and had a big dinner.
